The Toy Village

The Toy Village began in 2006 by ourselves Niki and Lisa.  We are two busy mums with seven children between us, ranging from 2 years to 14 years.  We wanted to add something more to toy shopping rather than trailing fed up children along the High Street, especially at Christmas and birthday time. So we launched “The Toy Village”

We started small offering toy parties within peoples homes and attending pre-school, nursery and school functions.  The demand and feedback was fantastic, so in early 2008 we launched our website.  This has been hard work and a big learning curve for us. 

Our range has steadily grown and continues to grow month on month.  As you can imagine, between us we probably have every toy possible and know what really lasts and captures and engages a childs imagination. With this in mind, we have sourced products that our own children have enjoyed or we have had the item recommended to us by another parent or career.

The range features toys from birth to preschool and beyond.  We specialise in traditional wooden toys, craft and educational items and a large selection of pocket money toys; this area is expanding as we speak. The emphasise is on good value for money but still retaining quality and safety.

With both of us having careers with well known High Street stores, we understand how and what makes a good shopping event. We pride ourselves on mum-to-mum knowledge, experience and good old fashion customer service we would like to think it is like dealing with and old friend!
